Sending Love

Hi friends. I have one more card featuring products from the Hero Arts spring catalog. I saved the flowers and butterflies cut from a previous project to use on my card.

I love when a product is so versatile you can create multiple designs.

1. I die cut 2 panels from Ultra Pink and Dove White cardstock using the Infinity Scalloped Rectangle Dies.

2. Die cut the word LOVE from the Love And Floral Die Set, inked the letters with Pool Party Reactive Ink.

3. Stamped the sentiment from the Sending Peace Stamp Set on Dove White cardstock with Black Inten-sified Ink.

4. Die cut flowers and butterflies from the Flower Pattern Cover Plate (from my previous post here).I layered the tiny flowers with the larger flowers stacking them.

5. Adhered the letters and flowers with Precision Glue.

6. Added Pink Lacquer Pen to the centers of the flowers.

Happy Birthday

Hi friends. I have been playing with some new products from Hero Arts Spring Catalog.

My card today features the versatile Flower Pattern Cover Plate which is so versatile, and you get to make two cards from it using the positive and negative dies.

1. I started with an A2 panel of watercolor cardstock.

2. I smooshed Splash, Pool Party, Green Apple, Taffy, and Lemon Drop Reactive Inks onto a craft mat.

3. Spritz with water and lay the watercolor panel onto the craft mat, picking up the ink colors. Dry with a heat tool. Repeat the process until you are happy with the mix of colors.

4. I then cut the Flower Pattern Cover Plate from the water colored panel.

5. I used just the background for my card and saved the dies (which includes flowers and butterflies) for another project.

6. The sentiment is from the Wildflowers Bundle Set which I stamped with Embossing Ink on Pitch Black cardstock, applied Silver Embossing Powder and heat set and cut with the coordinating die.

This was such a quick and simple card design which I loved creating.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Many Blessings To You

Hi friends. I have a card today which includes one of my favorite techniques. It combines a love of ink blending with any watercolor ink to give a textured look to die cuts. I'm using some gorgeous new products from Hero Arts Spring Catalog.

I had tons of fun making my card and hope it inspires you to try this true and tried technique too.

1. I started with an A2 sized panel of Watercolor Cardstock.

2. I smooshed Grape Slush, Blue Raspberry, Creamsicle Reactive inks onto a craft mat.

3. Spritz with water and lay the watercolor cardstock on the craft mat to "pick up" ink.

4. Dry the panel with a heat tool and lay the cardstock once again and dry.

5. Repeat the process until you are happy with the blend of colors (which like magic will mix and make new colors).

6. Once the panel is completely dry, I cut the Floral Wreath Die from it.

7. I then cut another A2 sized panel from Mist Cardstock.

8. I then ran it through my die cut machine with the Woodgrain Texture Fancy Die.

9. Stamp the sentiment from the Spring Bunny Stamp Set onto Ultra Pink Cardstock using Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink, apply White Embossing Powder and heat set. Cut with the Coordinating die.

10. Adhere the Mist Panel onto a white card base from Dove White Cardstock using Precision Glue. Adhere the Floral Wreath Die and sentiment die cut.

11. Add small butterfly dies cut from the Floral Pattern Cover Plate, randomly on the wreath.

12. Lastly add dots onto the floral wreath flowers using Turquoise and Pink Lacquer Pens.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Our February My Monthly Hero Kit is about peace and friendship reminding us that we all share the same sky, the same hopes and dreams.

My card features the February 2024 Classic Kit which includes all the elements seen here.

The Premium Kit includes additional elements to extend the potential for more cards and projects - even more Creativity in the Box!

I had so much fun creating my card.

1. Stamp the flower image from the stamp set in the Classic Kit with White Unicorn Pigment Ink included in the kit on Pitch Black A2 size cardstock.

2. Set aside the panel for the ink to dry completely.

3. Stamp the flower image again, this time on White Cardstock from the Classic kit with Black Intensi-fied Ink which is alcohol marker friendly. I used copic markers to color the image. Cut the image with the coordinating die.

4. Stamp the large Bow image from the stamp set on White cardstock from the Classic kit with Black Intensi-fied Ink and color with copic markers. Cut with coordinating die.

5. The Sentiment from the stamp set in the classic kit was stamped on a piece of vellum with Clear Embossing Ink, applied with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.

6. Stamp the word Love on Pitch Black cardstock with Clear Embossing ink, apply White Embossing powder and heat set. Trim it around the sides.

7. Wrap the vellum piece to the back of the A2 panel and add Precision Glue.

8. Adhere the colored flower image, add the bow and the love word onto the vellum.

9. I also smooshed some of the White Unicorn Ink on my glass mat with a few drops of water to add splatter on the panel. I like how it adds subtle texture and interest to the design.

10. Lastly I added White Hero pearls.

Along with the release of the kits, there are some stand alone products which can be used with the kits or on their own. A list of the February Stand Alone Products can be found here.

I'm featuring the beautiful Dove and Olive Branch Fancy Die Set on my card.

1. Stamp the Words Of Peace Bold Prints stamp on an A2 panel of  Premium White cardstock included in the Classic Kit with Granite Core ink.

2. Lay the Peace Daisy stencil on the panel and color using Orchid and Dusty Blue Core Inks mixing the colors randomly through the stencil.

3. Die cut a large square shape from the panel using the Square Infinity Die set. Adhere the shape with foam tape to add dimension.

4. Die cut the bird and 3 olive branches from the Dove and Olive Branch Fancy Die set out of  White Cardstock. Add a small black gem for the eye.

5. Color the olive branches with copic markers.

6. Stamp the word Sending from the Sending Peace stamp set on white cardstock with Black Intensi-fied ink.

7. Stamp the heart image from the Peace and Love Bundle on white cardstock with Black Intensi-fied Ink and die cut with coordinating die.

8. Finish off card by adding White Hero Pearls.
