You Color My World

Hi friends. My card today features Hero Arts Layering Stencil of the Month.

We all love rainbow colors and using them on a card is always fun. I knew that using colors of the rainbow was the perfect way to show off this gorgeous stencil.

1. I used CherryTangerineButter BarGreen HillsDusty Blue and Passion Flower Core Inks and started inking from the top left of my Dove White Cardstock panel.

2. I used Nautical Core Ink for the inking on stencils 3 and 4.

3. Die cut panel with the 3rd largest tag from the Tag Infinity Dies. I also die cut additional tags to adhere to the main tag for added dimension. I like adding dimension this way much more then adding foam tape.

4. Added ribbon through the tag before adhering to the stencil panel using Precision Glue

5. I die cut a leaf die from the kit with Dove White Cardstock, inked Green Hills Core Ink to add color.

6. The sentiment was stamped with Embossing Ink on Pitch Black cardstock, applied Gold Embossing Powder and heat set and cut with the coordinating die.

Thank you for stopping by!

Hero Studio - July Blog Hop and Giveaway!

Hi friends. It's the release of Hero Arts July Hero Studio Card Kit & Extras.

We are celebrating with a blog hop and giveaway!

There is amazing inspiration you'll find throughout the hop. Leave comments along the way!

One lucky winner will receive a $50 Hero Arts gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, July 7th at 11:59pm PT, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.

My card features the Layering Stamp sets and dies from the Kit which includes all the elements seen here.

Let's get started on how I created my card.

1. Stamp clouds with Passion Flower and Dusty Blue Core Inks on Dove White Card stock.

2. Stamp waves with Deep Ocean, Aquatic and Summer Sky Core Inks.

3. Randomly ink area around waves with Clear Embossing & Watermark ink Ink, apply Sand Embossing Powder and heat set.

4. Lightly ink over clouds with Butter Bar Core ink.

5. Stamp the tiny beach houses, shells, balloon and girl with Dusty Blue, Passion Flower, Deep Ocean and Green Hills Core Inks. Cut with coordinating dies.

6. Stamp the little girls holding hands with Intensified Black Ink and cut with coordinating die.

7. Stamp the birds directly on the inked panel with Intensified Black Ink

8. Stamp the sentiment on Pitch Black Cardstock with Clear Embossing Ink, apply White Embossing Powder and heat set. Cut with coordinating die.

9. Adhere die cuts and sentiment with Precision Glue.

Along with the release of the kit and new subscription options, there are some extra products which can all be found here.

I am featuring the Layering Stencil of the Month.

I used Paradise, Aquatic, Deep Ocean, Tangerine, Pumpkin and Butter Bar Core Inks with this sweet  fish stencil, overlapping the inks to add a fun blend of colors.

I thought a shaker card design will be perfect for this stencil. I did however make an easier version of a shaker card by inserting the inked panel into a clear packet (The same packets that stamp sets come in), added sequins, closed the packet by adding double sided tape to the back and adhered to my card front.

I die cut one of the Arches Infinity Dies from Adriatic Card Stock for the front of the clear insert for the window and adhered with Precision Glue.

I stamped the sentiment on Adriatic Cardstock with Clear Embossing Ink, applied White Embossing Powder and heat set. Cut with coordinating die.

Thank you for stopping by and have fun hopping!

You should have arrived from Jennifer's blog, up next will be Karen. To start at the beginning, head to the Hero Arts Blog.

Sending You Love

Hi friends. I'm sharing a card today which I have to confess took me a while to make but I absolutely love how it turned out.

Let's get started...

1. Using the Color Layering Tulip Pattern Stencil on an A2 sized panel, I blended Cherry, Green Hills, Ultra Pink, Tangerine, Azalea and Papaya Core Inks.

2. Die cut the panel using Tulip Pattern Cover Plate. Set the tulips aside. I kept the background which can be used for a future project.

3. Die cut the paper cone from the Bouquet Accessories Fancy Die Set using Passion Flower Cardstock.

4. Add rub on transfer from the Collage Backgrounds Hero Transfers Set onto the paper cone using the wooden stick included in the set.

4. Die cut the small butterfly from the Butterfly Foliage Fancy Die Set and blend Cherry Core Ink to add color using a small blending brush.

5. Die cut the tiny bow from the Autumn Bouquet Fancy Die Set using Dove White Cardstock.

6. The sentiment from the Valentine Wreath Bundle Set was stamped onto Pitch Black Cardstock using Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink, applied with White Embossing Powder and heat set. Cut with the Coordinating die.

7. Die cut different sizes of the Rounded Jewel Infinity Dies from Dove White Cardstock.

8. Assemble the infinity dies onto an A2 white card base adhering with Precision Glue.

9. Adhere paper cone and add tulips into the cone as desired and adhere butterfly using Precision Glue.

10. Added a gem on the bow and Hero White Pearls on the card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a fabulous day.
